National level Helper Seminar & Certification

Date: Sept 11-12, 2010. Time: 5:00-11:00pm. Fee: $40 per day

LV/Midwest-OFS: James Akin-Otiko & WKG-OFS: Ted Hartman

This seminar is for any helper wishing to certify under the DVG/dhv Helper Certification program.  It can also act as a seminar for those wishing to maintain their certification status but have not worked sufficient dogs in trials over the last (3) years.  Under the revised guidelines the WKG-OFS can certify helpers at level (3) and upgrade to level (2) with the written agreement of a certified judge, level (1) can only be obtained under the LV-OFS.  Non-members may participate in the training seminar only as guests.  Saturday will be a helper training seminar day so that helpers can practice techniques, ask questions and so on.  The written and field tests will be held on Sunday, for those wishing to be certified…

Please arrange to have at least one or two dogs available to work from your club members for use in the seminar, you are welcome to bring your own dog.  Coast members may have dogs available, but we always need additional dogs in anticipation of a good turn out and hot summer…
